Sr. Systems engineers will have a strong technical foundation with Window / Linux Systems Engineering coupled with the desire to learn, grow, and solve hard problems? Designs, develops, implements, and validates IT system solutions for networking, computing, and our propriety communications equipment including conceptional, functional, and physical views.? Defines scope, objectives, and deliverables, and delegates project tasking to other system engineers on the project team.? Provides systems and integration engineering for software and hardware systems, subsystems, modules, and application tools.? Creates, reviews, and approves technical documentation (e.g., design drawings, design reviews, system layouts, system configuration, build plans/instructions, rollout strategies).? Collaborates with customers, vendors, and internal teams (e.g., program management, hardware & software development, test engineering, field engineering, production) for total project success.? Investigates and applies innovative technologies or methodologies to improve project outcomes, efficiency, or sustainability.? Performs risk assessments to identify potential project obstacles and devises mitigation strategies for successful project outcomes.? Ensures adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices.? Manages expectations and resolves project-related issues.? Experience in the following technologies: Windows /Linux Systems Engineering? Proficient in Scripting Languages and Databases (SQL and NoSQL databases, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) Ticketing and reporting tools? Exposure to the following tools may be helpful: Network analysis tools, Containers, System monitoring tools, Virtualization and Data replication and storage, System security management and intrusion detection tools, Telecommunications protocols and routing and networking technologiesQualifications:? BS or MS in Information Technology, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience with IT systems and engineering.? 8-10 years' experience in Systems Engineering integrating, deploying, and supporting integrated hardware and software solutions in the area of networking and communications.? Candidates with experience in Voice/Data communication systems with experience architecting, designing, developing, testing, and integrating large scale mission critical systems.? Experience in requirements analysis and verification testing against requirements.? Demonstrated ability to lead and guide the program and technical teams to program success.? Collaborate with SW and HW development teams guiding the product design and development.? Knowledge with FAA in air traffic control system environment would be a plus.? Experience in telcom and radio technologies is preferred, especially if there is background with transitioning legacy interfaces to IP.? Proven experience in leading and mentoring system engineering project teams.?
