Job Description The Medical Writing Department of the GCTO organization prepares a variety of regulated documentation in support of the clinical development portfolio. The Assistant Clinical Technical Editor (CTE) is a member of the Medical Writing team who is responsible for quality control of clinical documents intended for submission to regulatory agencies. The Assistant CTE delivers high-quality review of English language documents in compliance with internal conventions and industry standards in a timely and efficient manner following department and company processes.In this role the Assistant CTE must demonstrate the following skills in the scope of quality control in a single therapeutic area on a limited document type with an emphasis on subject narratives:Complete fluency in reading and writing American EnglishThorough understanding of the appropriate use of English-language grammar rules and American Medical Association Manual of Style rulesAbility to flawlessly verify accuracy of all data in documentsAbility to consistently apply all defined electronic format standards to documentsAbility to effectively work within systems used for document workflow (eg, RCAM, SharePoint)Complete understanding of and strict adherence to all defined processes
Degree in the Life Sciences/Languages with 1 to 2 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry.
