REQUISITOS:Chief of party (cop) world vision colombia position purpose world vision seeks a colombia-based chief of party (cop) for an anticipated u.S. Agency for international development (usaid) program. This 5-year program will support colombias transition to a more stable, peaceful, and prosperous society. The activity would also train community-level workers in basic mental health and psychosocial support (mhpss); provide support to conflict survivors through actions like community-based interventions to foster mental health service access; and promote economic opportunities through actions like job training and public-private partnerships (ppps) in conflict-affected communities. These direct efforts by the activity will help create a culture of peace; build family and community resilience; and strengthen the social fabric in post-conflict colombian communities. Main responsibilities the cop has overall responsibility for the leadership and management of all grant activities, consortium members and staff.The cop has principal responsibility for representation for the projects to usaid and government entities and provides strategic leadership and supervision of sub-grantees and sub-contractors while ensuring the security, feasibility, and sustainability of the program and contribution to the cooperative agreement outcomes. Education knowledge, and skills master-s degree in related field or equivalent qualifications in grant management and a technical field in developing countries. Knowledge and skills ability to manage technical assistance teams. Relevant technical expertise in mhpss, peacebuilding and community resilience. Knowledge of and familiarity with international assistance program requirements, preferably usaid and/or other funding agencies; their policies and regulations. Excellent representational and communication skills, written and oral proficiency in english and spanish. Experience 10 years of extensive international development experience managing large grant-funded projects.. Excellent managerial and operational experience, preferably in managing large donor projects involving coordination with multiple program partners or institutions in colombia or the region. Experience in developing program work-plans, budgets, managing implementation, staff and short-term technical assistance.
