Sandata Technologies is currently seeking a self-motivated, deadline and detail oriented Documentation Specialist to create, maintain, organize and distribute user manuals, release notes, internal/external communications and internal reference materials for our products.
This is a highly collaborative position that requires fantastic communication and interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain productive relationships with the various teams within the organization. Detail oriented organizational skills are a must! The Senior Documentation Specialist is also expected to attend weekly and/or daily meetings with other departments to be aware of changes to products and maintain documentation in step with the development process and assist in communicating information to clients and internal staff.

Major Responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of Sandata s products

Assist with the training of new team members

Develop and enforce workflow processes to prioritize and manage multiple project s timelines

Update and maintain user manuals and handouts and workflows in step with software development cycles

Create product release notes that document changes and enhancements to products in monthly or bi-weekly release cycles

Create documentation in compliance with corporate branding as well as meeting the requirements of clients

Attend meetings with internal staff to learn the specific requirements of individual assignments

Participate in group review sessions with both the documentation team and other teams within the organization and incorporate feedback

Prioritize and assign work using existing project management tools

Maintain and organize internal reference materials hosted across multiple locations

Update and maintain the various internal tools used for tracking the progress of projects assigned to the department

Skills and Experience

Ability to work on a team, this position requires consistent collaboration with multiple teams within the organization

Ability to maintain positive and productive relationships with subject matter experts in other departments

Adaptable writing style and flexible thinking

Excellent communication, writing, and document formatting skills

Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

Ability to prioritize and follow through on multiple projects, while managing deadlines

Ability to translate software functionality into simple step-by-step processes.

Experience with Word Press a plus

Expertise in using the Microsoft Office Suit, Mad Cap Flare+ and Adobe Acrobat Pro

Ability to create and maintain templates in MS Word, and create web pages using a basic HTML editor

Bachelor s degree preferred

2 or more years of experience performing the role of a documentation specialist, writing/editing software documentation for end users, preferably in the home or health care industry on specialized software products is preferred
