Overview:
This part-time position (Monday-Friday, under 30 hours- flexible) acts as a creative lead for promotional activities and is responsible for providing graphic and technical design solutions for A-dec websites, web and mobile applications, print pieces, and in-house collateral.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates and coordinates efforts with the advertising/marketing team, contractors, and the customer to define project requirements and create print and web graphics from conception to completion using styles consistent with the A-dec brand.
Responsible for making broad creative decisions based upon knowledge and skills in graphic design, web design, art, and media production experience.
Works closely with Product Managers to understand A-dec's product portfolio, stay abreast of product changes, and maintain product expertise to ensure marketing deliverables are on target and represent complex solutions.
Creates and manages visual elements of both desktop and mobile software applications.
Performs site testing and issue logging, and works with developers to deploy changes, new web features, and enhancements.
Performs ongoing graphic, web and digital design and development work such as template building, print and digital ads, HTML emails, web edits, and design.
Generates creative design ideas and strategies to help the company meet goals for marketing assets, considering best practices, UX, responsive design, template design, etc.
Collaborates closely with the development team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in art, graphic/web design, or other media-based discipline along with 1-4 years of experience in both print and web design or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Must have strong knowledge of international web standards and protocols, best practices for print and digital design, knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, current design techniques, and current technology, along with experience working with templates.
Must be an adaptable, self-directed learner who is able to quickly learn new programs and applications with the ability to develop creative concepts based on established criteria and marketing strategy.
Ability to recognize and produce effective and aesthetically attractive visual designs and typography.
Ability to partner and work effectively with other marketing & sales teams/individuals and external contractors while bringing own conceptual design ideas into discussions.
Ability to work on multiple projects and timelines while maintaining attention to detail, and must be able to communicate effectively visually, verbally, and in writing.
