Strong HR Generalist / Operational Hands on Focus

Salary $85,000 + Super / Frequent Travel throughout AUS

This international food outlet chain based throughout NSW, QLD and ACT, prides itself on delivering the freshest and delicious food product for their consumer. Due to continuous growth an opportunity has become available for an experienced HR Manager, to be based at their Newcastle CBD site.

The Role
Reporting directly into the General Manager, you will lead the implementation of best practice human resources throughout this retail food outlet. As the HR Manager, you will collaborate with the broader business to ensure you help the company achieve HR goals in line with current legislation. You will also work closely with store management to coach, mentor and assist in performance management, change management, learning and development, grievances and investigation processes, as well as work on broader HR projects.
The key to your success in this role will be your ability to engage with the business and build strong relationships. No one day will ever be the same. You will easily switch between the operational day to day duties and responsibilities into HR strategic planning. You will love the chance to create, coach and improve.
As the HR Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Review, refine and develop HR policies, processes and guidelines, with an ongoing focus on continuous improvement

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation for all HR matters

Assist store managers with grievances and conflict resolution

End to end recruitment company wide

Frequent travel through NSW, QLD AND ACT

Planning, monitoring and implementing RTO plans

Award and legislation interpretation

One on one training and implementing online training

End to end workforce planning including forecasting, job design, position descriptions, on-boarding new employees, inductions and training

About You
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have significant experience as a senior human resource professional in a large organization. Specifically, you will have demonstrated knowledge of Industrial Relations, Learning and Development and Safety within a retail environment. Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills are critical success factors.
