Road Safety at AT

The Road Safety Portfolio in Auckland (Please contact us using the "Apply for this Job Posting" box below) all capital programme and project level interventions that impact on the outcome of improving safety for all users on the Auckland road network. This includes all elements of the Road Safety capital programme including the Safe Speeds Programme.

The role:

Reporting to the Portfolio Delivery Director (Strategic Programmes) within the Integrated Networks function, this Programme Delivery role is accountable for the timely, cost effective and coordinated delivery and operationalisation of the Road Safety Programme and Safe Speed Programme with key accountabilities which include:

Oversight and strategic direction of the portfolio and speed management programme level interventions.

Lead the oversight, direction and coordination of cross-AT functions (delivered by others in AT) required to implement and operationalise AT Safe Speeds Programme including:

About You

15 years' experience in programme / project management in Transport

10 years' experience in a unit programme management role with direct reports, preferably in a political or complex organisation

5 years senior management experience in road safety improvement and speed management intervention programme(s)

5 years senior management experience in coordinating and delivering change management and behaviour change programmes in local communities

Excellent programme and project management skills

Has a good understanding and appreciation of the workings and functions of local government, including current and future business drivers and statutory requirements.
