Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer this exciting opportunity supports the implementation of the organisation’s enterprise-wide compliance management framework within IOOF’s Superannuation business and Friendly Society, and provides subject matter expertise in identifying, assessing, mitigating and reporting on a broad range of risks across the business.
This is an opportunity to be part of an expanding team of Risk & Compliance professionals and to contribute knowledge and expertise to the development of a leading Risk & Compliance function.
Implementing the compliance program, including regulatory change, across the Superannuation areas of the business and the Friendly Society.
Review, interpret and implement regulatory change relevant to the organisation’s superannuation business. Advise and provide support to the business on changes to Superannuation regulations.
Ensuring compliance with all Superannuation licenses and regulatory requirements.
Review and draft compliance policies, ensuring continuous enhancement to the compliance policy framework, especially in relation to superannuation and the Friendly Society.
Collection, analysis, escalation and reporting of compliance exceptions & breaches.
Ensuring staff understand and are trained on their compliance obligations and the regulatory environment.
Working as one of the key points of liaison with the Office of the Superannuation Trustee (OST).
Help drive and maintain a strong and resilient culture of risk and compliance is embedded across the business.
Responsible for helping to build a strong and highly regarded team.
To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:
Undergraduate degree in Business/Commerce, Law or relevant subjects
Post graduate studies in Investments and/or Advice and/or Superannuation preferred
Experience in Compliance management roles in complex financial services organisations, and
senior leadership roles
Detailed understanding of superannuation laws and landscape in Australia.
Ability to drive change through regulatory compliance engagement with the business, systems, processes, and people.
Ability to work effectively with clients, internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to write well and have a high attention to detail.
Experience in working in complex businesses undergoing significant transformation and remediation.
