Senior Manager, Marketing Operations, Life Sciences Group (Asia Pacific Japan)

Reports to: Senior Director LSG APJ Commercial

Position Location: Melbourne preferred (or Singapore)

How you'll make an impact:
As a member of the APJ Regional Marketing leadership team, you will work closely with the commercial and marketing leadership teams to facilitate the development, execution and measurement of the commercial strategies and plans for the business. Serving as a key partner to the APJ regional marketing leaders, you’ll play an active role in the enhancement of all marketing operations in order to facilitate lead generation, nurturing, and implementation that arise from the global & regional marketing activities, including Digital Marketing.
You will consult with other marketing leaders to support strategic business needs while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, programs, and infrastructure, leading cross-division, and cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the businesses.
Functions overseen by this role include analytics and reporting, marketing communications, customer relationship management (CRM), Digital Marketing and sales support and enablement.

What will you do?

Lead the team in providing a shared support and center of excellence for the APJ region, by establishing and governing best practices, implementing process development and improvement, manage execution and deployment, measurement and monitoring and KPIs across strategic commercial focus areas.

Provide a shared service model to flex and support across region as the needs of the business evolve.

Lead the development and implementation of processes, tools, analysis, metrics, initiatives, infrastructure and technology that will support and improve the operations of the Marketing function.

Manage the development and review of cross-divisional marketing tactics produced for the Life Sciences segment ensuring high degree of quality, accuracy, brand and legal compliance, in accordance with company and segment brand and legal standards.

Support and maintain operational processes for the region, including marketing planning, marketing communications development and deployment and marketing effectiveness measurement.

Maintains the marketing and sales shared knowledge portal and repository, including training, best practice sharing, and sales enablement content

Supports sales operating mechanisms and helps facilitate onboarding of new marketing employees

Ensures effective communication and alignment across divisions and countries including Japan, Korea, Singapore, South East Asia, Taiwan, India and Australasia.

How will you get here?


Formal qualifications in marketing preferred


5+ years’ experience in leading high-performing marketing operations team.

Strong team leadership skills including identifying and developing talent, communicating expectations and deliverables, assigning and reprioritizing work and resources, and ensuring consistent and reliable delivery of highest quality work product

Demonstrated success in driving operational efficiencies, including process improvement, optimizing creative development process, managing resources and projects, and delivering on time, every time

Strong organizational and prioritization skills, including the ability to balance own workload with supporting and developing a team

Demonstrated influencing and alignment skills across a highly matrixed organization, and ability to articulate the team vision, goals and progress metrics to senior leaders within the organization

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Can take broad concepts and identify a project management workplan, provide clarity so expectations are understood and can be executed within budget, meeting deadlines, and meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Highly proficient in lead management and customer relationship management (CRM) technologies and processes
