Team OverviewThe Strategy and Planning team is a cross-functional team tasked with optimizing the marketplace through two levers: pricing and resource allocation, while defining and guiding the business strategy across SSL.
This person will lead our resource management for key cities in SSL, while actively contributing to defining the long-term strategy in those cities.
There is a high degree of collaboration in this role: you will work closely with the operations, marketing, and product teams, along with your Strategy peers in other regions, to create, guide and execute impactful strategies.
This role is ideal for someone looking to have ownership of the business strategy, work in a fast-paced and data-driven environment, manage one direct report, and gain exposure to a full suite of projects and functions across the business.
Role ResponsibilitiesContributing to the long-term business strategy and value proposition using internal, external, qualitative, and quantitative data sources with a strategic, data-driven, and user-centric approach.Taking full ownership of performance management in your region, from defining and modeling business OKRs in alignment with business strategy to holding yourself and others accountable for market performance.Managing cross-functional projects and stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic and tactical guidelines, while working towards the same goal.Optimizing resource allocation to ensure business goals are met through investment decisions across cities and channels, guided by a data-driven and business-driven mindset.Contributing to the development of resource allocation frameworks by testing new initiatives, iterating on existing ones, sharing best practices, and collaborating closely with peers from various areas and seniority levels.Overseeing the execution of initiatives in your markets, coordinating with all relevant functions, reacting quickly to marketplace changes, and always anticipating different scenarios with clear governance mechanisms.Contributing to improving existing processes and creating new ones, both in your markets and across SSL.Contributing to talent development.Role QualificationsBachelor's degree (Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or other relevant degrees)1-3 years of experience in consultancy, investment banking, financial planning & analysis, business improvement, business intelligence, and other related fieldsProficiency in Excel and PowerPointGreat communication and stakeholder management skills, working in cross-functional projects across countriesAbility to learn and deliver results with high expectations on timeliness and qualityAnalytical and problem-solving skills, ability to break down complex problems into smaller and simpler ones, and capable of explaining and communicating them clearlyTolerance of working in ambiguous and changing environments, great attention to detail and proactivityProfessional proficiency level in English and SpanishEEO StatementWe create customer value – We strive to always create valuable experiences for our users in everything we do.
