Leads, drives and owns the architecture and design of some of the most complex software systems in Sabre Hospitality Solutions Architects, designs and implements new components and sub-systemsEnvision and develop the long-term architectural strategy, with emphasis on reusable components while adopting a nimble delivery processEstablish structures and processes that ensure a high level of quality and reliability and extensibility of deliverablesActs as a technical and operational leader with a passion for microservices, distributed systems, cloud service development, deployment and deliveryAccountable for the design, the ease of evolution, quality of the systems, performance, scaling, and availability characteristics of the systemsAble and willing to spend time actively developing parts of the systems by themselvesReviews architecture and design of the existing systems and redesigns them whenever necessaryDeliver technical training within the engineering organization, including training new engineersWork with product management, business stakeholders and other engineering leaders to help define mid-term and long-term roadmaps as well as shape business directions; drives the non-functional requirements of the productDiagnoses system failures and problems in production and works with the technical staff to identify root causes and address themDrives code and design reviews of components in scope and drives the architectural governance for themApplies fundamental skills, concepts and practices to solve difficult assignments.
