This is a client facing position. Applicants must be fluent in English as they will be communicating with US based clients and colleagues. Do not send any communication in other languages. As a Senior Accountant Team Lead , you will set up new services alongside with our Sales team. You will talk to them, scope out their needs. You will be coordinating a team of remote international bookkeepers to get the services up and running. You will act as the buffer between our US-based clients (mostly in the property management and short term rental / vacation rental industry) and handle communication with our clients by managing their expectations, setting up checklists and roadmaps, and making sure that their needs are met in a timely manner. You are going to supervise ongoing services - after the set-up is done, you'll supervise and support the bookkeepers as needed for the same clients. As a growing, evolving startup, there will also be opportunities to take on different or more specialized roles. Requirements We are looking for someone who is experienced in working at a professional services firm, and has handled accounting for multiple companies, ideally in an accounting or a bookkeeping firm. If you had any of the following titles, it's a good sign: Controller, Finance Manager, Full Charge Bookkeeper, Director of Accounting, VP of Finance, CFO, Senior Accountant, etc. Management experience is valuable but not required. You should also have hands-on experience working directly in QuickBooks Online. Candidates must also be: Knowledgeable. Most folks in this role have degrees in accounting (or similar) though this isn't strictly required. Being a CPA and/or ProAdvisor would be a plus, and common for this role, but these aren't required either. Highly organized. This role is a high-speed juggling act. You need to juggle multiple clients with different services and coordinate the work of a diverse team of bookkeepers. This requires exceptional organizational and time management skills. Tech-savvy. You will need to be adept with computers and good at figuring out new systems and tools. Excel expertise is preferred. QuickBooks Online experience is required. Project management tools such as Financial Cents, Karbon, Asana, Clickup etc is required. You will be working with a remote team - and project management skills using technology is essential. (This is not a good fit if you like to keep your notes on sticky notes on your office desk or on a legal pad and prefer to turn around your head to talk to your colleagues as opposed to using Slack or project management tools.) Great at building strong relationships. A key part of the role is to establish a personal rapport with the clients. More than just an accountant, the goal in this position is to become a trusted advisor. This takes a friendly, positive "people person". A great communicator. As the face of Extenteam, you should have excellent professional communication skills. You will need to be perfectly fluent in English (written and spoken). An adaptable, fast learner. Every client is unique in terms of personality, needs, software, etc., so each new client is a learning experience. We need someone who feels very comfortable diving in and figuring things out. If you are happiest maintaining a well-established process that someone else designed, this is NOT the ideal role for you.
