This is a remote Contract/Consultant position. Working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. Resumes must be submitted in English.Position OverviewIn a fast paced, high expectation, results oriented environment, the Asset Resolution Counsel will be responsible for (i) managing a large portfolio of non-performing real estate collateralized commercial loans, and REO, (ii) supervising Asset Resolution/Collections/REO Department staff, (iii) analyzing loan, borrower and guarantor, as well as jurisdiction characteristics, (iv) consulting with local counsel to develop recovery strategies and (v) achieving optimal resolutions. Candidates should be adept at working with a large portfolio of assets, highly familiar with legal pleadings and proceedings and comfortable with financial analysis, with demonstrated leadership and mentoring acumen.Responsibilities:Manage and monitor a non-performing real estate collateralized commercial loan portfolio, including REO, toward most effective and efficient resolution· Hire, supervise, train and develop Asset Resolution Department staffConduct proactive and effective portfolio management in accordance with established performance standardsMonitor and manage commercial litigation/bankruptcy/foreclosure activities, functions and deadlinesDirect/monitor/liaise with in-house and outside attorneys, collection agencies and other vendors that support the loss mitigation effortInteract with customers and their counselNegotiate and propose settlement agreements and bidding instructionsMonitor loss mitigation workout performance and loss severity trendsImplement and communicate loss mitigation decisionsMaintain delinquency and loss mitigation reporting, including trend analysis and assessmentConduct comprehensive analysis of debtors' financial position, credit status, personal background, and historical payment performanceFacilitate negotiation and conflict resolutionPerform extensive quarterly review of portfolio being managed to confirm or reassess recovery estimatesMonitor related expenses (taxes, maintenance, utilities, fees, etc.) and timely propose protective advancesParticipate in budget preparation for the Asset Resolution DepartmentOther projects and duties as assignedLaw degree (from a nationally accredited U.S. law school is preferred)Experience working in commercial litigation/bankruptcy/foreclosure/real estate loss mitigationDemonstrated ability to successfully manage non-performing loan pools and REOExperience supervising/developing/mentoring a case management staff· Litigation experience and familiarity with litigation management toolsStrong organization, decision-making and negotiation skillsStrong knowledge of applicable U.S. legal/regulatory guidelines, including bankruptcy and foreclosureDemonstrated analytical and reasoning skills, and innovative approach to solving both practical and theoretical problemsProficiency in all Microsoft Office applicationsStrong work ethic with ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environmentYou must have your own laptop or desktop to use (the company does not supply equipment)Excellent English fluency and communication skills, both written and verbalCONTRACT/CONSULTANCY POSITIONCompensation DOE11 US Paid Holidays per year#J-18808-Ljbffr
