Job DescriptionJob Scope This is a role responsible for identifying business development opportunities to increase card acceptance coverage in the Andean region, with focus on the Colombian market, by working with acquirers and other internal and external stakeholders. The role will be for the execution of the Merchant Sales & Solutions (MS&A) business plan for Colombia in coordination with the LAC and Global hierarchy and corresponding strategies. Position will be located at the Visa office in Bogota, Colombia.
Responsibilities Support the creation and implementation of the MS&A Strategy for the Colombian market. Ensure that such plans adhere to Visa strategy of Consumer Products, New Flows and Value Added Services, strengthening partnerships with Acquirers and Payment Facilitators.Manage relationship accounts, add value to strategic payment players, acquirers and issuers through the development and implementation of initiatives that increase acceptance and use of Visa products. Responsible for measuring and monitoring the results of those activities.Add value to acquiring clients through the set of products and services available for the market.Analyze market data and interact with other market teams to identify Acquiring development opportunities in line with the plans.Develop and execute alliances with stakeholders to achieve brand preference including initiatives related to product, marketing and technology.Ensure coordination with internal teams for the execution of the acceptance activities.Main accountability for the implementation of the Acceptance strategy and proposing adjustments as deemed necessary as market conditions evolve in LAC.Reporting Relationships & Interactions Position will report to Head of Merchant Sales & Acquiring in the Andean Region and the Colombia Country Manager under a matrix structure.He/she will interact internally with Sales, Products, Cybersource and Marketing teams, among others, and the MS&A Regional and Global teams.Externally the position will interact with several stakeholders, including Acquiring Clients and Third Party Agents.Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and/ or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, card acquiring experience desired in the Colombian market.Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance including P&L responsibility.Excellent business planning and project management skills.Ability to identify key strategic issues, generating and delivering creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities.Ability to multi-task numerous projects concurrently.Ability to manage & grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships.Understanding of the Acquiring business in particular.This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

10+ years of experience in retail, fintech and/or payments industry preferableFluent in Spanish - MUSTFluent English - MUSTExcellent sales, account management and strategic planning skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skills (ability to interact with several teams simultaneously)Ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations
