Description Roles in the Financial Control job family have ultimate accountability for true and fair representation of business performance in financial statements.?Financial Control roles take?responsibility for the classification, consolidation and interpretation of financial data, the coordination and management of financial reporting (including the provision of insight, analysis and the accurate and timely delivery of end market budgets, management accounts and financial accounts) and the monitoring of financial risks.?Context/ScopeGlobal Business Operations is end-to-end multi-functional shared services for our markets to deliver the Diageo Performance Ambition. GBO provides a wide array of services to markets and functions, with activities ranging from customer facing services, HR operations, general accounting, financial planning and reporting, and specialist services such as tax and treasury. GBO ???works as a global network with centres located in Bangalore, Budapest, Bogotá and Manila. Global Business Operations Bogota blends the best of the global tower strategies with the competitive advantage of a close connection and knowledge of the markets and being in the same time zone and language. In the past years GBOB has Efficiently implemented Diageo´s global finance model into the region by developing the SSC into a Business partner for the Region.PurposeTo be responsible for operational, day to day management of financial data to ensure financial control, drive insights, support decision making and make recommendations to improve performance. Ensure control procedures are strictly adhered to in line with global processes and standards.Accountabilities1. Day to day management of the respective Profit and Loss / Balance sheet area from accounting, reporting and controlling perspective. 2. Provide decision support for business partners to optimize the business unit's financial performance within the overall corporate strategy. Delivering benefit analysis, thorough understanding of movements on accounts, the business reason behind those, and collection and presentation of risks & opportunities. 3. Interpret reports and data using some techniques and tools and communicates to business and financial colleagues, providing technical support and advice to business partners. Continuously supervise the respective P&L and/or BS accounts for any inconsistencies. 4. Develop, present and champion recommendations to business unit teams on actions to drive business results. 5. Ensure that financial processes are undertaken accurately, efficiently, on time and that the surrounding internal control procedures are closely adhered to in line with global processes and standards. 6. Identify and implement improvements in execution to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, controls, compliance and adherence to global standards and procedures.7. End to end process accountability for low to mid complex/risk markets/collaborators.8. Specific ownership of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.9.
