Requisitos This as-yet unidentified developer will be responsible for implementing and initial testing of the Kora MVP. This developer should be selected on the basis of past experience in system design and team leadership plus willingness and ability to work hands-on. They should have full-stack experience on a variety of platforms and some level of past experience working with deep learning systems. The Senior Developer will collaborate with Mark on system design then take ownership of implementation and testing. As the sole developer, they must have experience in UI design, database design, systems integration, software security, and AWS infrastructure. The Kora team is small and this developer will play a critical role in the project's success. Accordingly, the emphasis is on hiring the right mindset and aptitudes rather than any specific technology stack. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of: Implementing system architectures appropriate to a startup - i.e.: simple and cost-effective but scalable to mid-6-digits user count before needing rework. Estimating and planning work and timelines under uncertainty Effective communication across many groups - tech teams, business teams, management, and clients Being able to roll up sleeves or delegate - and when to apply each Running small development teams and mentoring developers Encouraging and thriving in a "team-first" collaborative environment Rapidly evaluating, learning, and adopting new technologies Developing B2C cloud-based SaaS applications, with full-stack responsibility Demonstrating competency in AI, having fielded products in machine learning, products in Generative QA, or successful POCs in hybrid approaches where Generative AI is a key decision-making component in a larger architecture. Has designed database schemas of moderate complexity (50+ tables) and is fully cognizant of normalization, sharding, views, ORM and when (not) to use each The developer must be highly competent in our preferred tech stack or one of the acceptable alternatives. Programming languages, frameworks, and tools Our development tooling preferences are as follows: Tech stack: AWS Cloud, GitHub, PostgreSQL, NodeJS, Express, TypeScript, React Acceptable alternatives: AWS Cloud ? none. Developer availability and platform strength make AWS the superior cloud choice. PostGreSQL ? MySQL, MSSQL, other relational database. NodeJS ? Ruby on Rails, Express ? web framework appropriate to the platform TypeScript ? Typed languages, in declining order: Ruby, C#, Java, Rust React ? Vue (requires strong justification due to React's prevalence) Generative AI: OpenAI Assistants or equivalent, via direct APIs or tools such as LangPipe Ventajas Workplace: Colombia.
