Job PurposePlans, manages, coordinates and closes out assigned projects typically consisting of the schedule, technical scope and financial performance of multiple projects in order to deliver a quality product, on-time, and to customer requirements. Typically, projects will have multiple, highly complex work scopes, and significant customer collaboration. This is an advanced role within the projects organization which focuses on Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation activities. This position reports to the Director of Projects for Subsea.Job Description Project Planning and Execution: The project manager ensures that projects are meticulously planned, organized, and executed. They allocate resources, manage risks, and handle changes to ensure successful project completion. Their focus is on meeting project objectives within specified timeframes, budgets, and quality standards. Stakeholder Management: Building strong relationships with stakeholders is crucial. This includes customers, partners, subcontractors, and vendors. As the single point of contact for the customer, the project manager maintains effective communication and addresses any concerns. Quality and HSE (Health, Safety, Environment): Creating a work climate that emphasizes quality and safety is essential. The project manager fosters an environment where the team prioritizes client satisfaction and safety consciousness. Quotation Process and Reporting: During the quotation process, project managers provide critical information such as schedules and budgets. Timely internal and external reporting ensures transparency and accountability. Team Leadership and Performance Monitoring: The project manager leads the project team, sets performance targets, and monitors progress. They organize project team meetings, assign duties, and ensure everyone understands their responsibilities. Profit & Loss Management: Ensuring profitability is a key responsibility. Project managers track financial forecasts, manage costs, and optimize project outcomes. Interface Coordination: Coordinating interfaces between different project components or teams is vital. This ensures smooth collaboration and efficient project execution. Financial Closeout and Feedback: The project manager ensures that projects are closed out appropriately, including financial aspects. Gathering feedback helps improve future projects. Additional Responsibilities: Managing third-party vendors and subcontractors. Handling government regulatory requirements. Identifying and submitting deliverables. Maintaining project reports for management and clients. Project Scope and Scale: Project managers handle large-scale projects, often exceeding $100 million in value. You are meant for this job if: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Procurement, Business Administration or related field required. Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in Engineering, Scheduling, Procurement, or similar field. PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Requires product knowledge of sub-systems and package groups. Understands divisions' business and competing products and technologies and profit impact of decisions. Demonstrated effectives in project negotiations, multi-site interfaces of commercial management of contracts, supplier quality systems and development and implementation of project management strategies. Demonstrates effective leadership ability within a matrixed team environment and contributes significantly to team performance.
