WHAT IS THE ROLE? The PM of Sustainable Housing Initiatives is a pivotal one-year position designed to lead the conceptualization and launch of the Cement Bamboo Frame Technology housing project in Colombia. This role is crafted under the collaboration between the Hilti Foundation (based in Lichtenstein), Base Bahay Foundation (based in the Philippines), and the Latin American Hilti Organization (based in Panama) aiming to introduce sustainable, affordable, and disaster-resilient housing solutions for underserved communities in Colombia. After one year of project there is an option to take another position within the Hilti organization. WHO IS HILTI? As a PM of Sustainable Housing Initiatives Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop a comprehensive strategy to adapt and implement the project in Colombia, considering local conditions and potential challenges. Partnership Building: Forge key partnerships with local stakeholders to support project implementation and ensure its sustainability. Project Launch: Oversee the project's initiation, from feasibility studies to the construction of pilot houses, ensuring alignment with the project's goals. Capacity Building: Implement training programs for local workers and professionals on CBFT, fostering skills development and job creation. Cross Border Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate interactions between all stakeholders located both within Colombia and beyond. WHAT YOU NEED IS: Over 8 years in project management experience, in international project collaboration and working across cultural and geographical boundaries is crucial. Experience in sustainable development and community housing projects are highly desirable. Expert knowledge in sustainable and alternative building technologies, with a focus on bamboo or similar materials is a plus. Master's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Environmental Sciences, or a related field. Additional qualifications in sustainable construction, disaster risk management, or social entrepreneurship are highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership ability to inspire and manage multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication skills to navigate international collaborations and local community engagements. Ability to develop professional presentations and communicate to C-Suite level stakeholders. Innovative and strategic thinking for adapting housing technologies to local contexts.
