Responsibilities of a software engineer at aktien.guide include:- Implementing new and expanding existing customer facing features and backend features with use of background processing- all to develop professional investment tools for private investors- Applying design and UX changes or implementing modern design and UX for newly built features based on mockups prepared by a designer- Developing bug fixes, maintaining existing code, keeping the dependencies up-to-date and writing unit tests for any new features or changes- Working very closely with the Product Owner and actively participating in building our productWe are looking for a person who:- Has experience of at least one year (ideally two years) as a full stack web developer and is comfortable and fluent with both Ruby and Ruby on Rails- Knows or is willing to learn modern Ruby on Rails technologies (e.g. Turbo, Stimulus, Propshaft, ViewComponent)- Has experience with background processing using Sidekiq- Is familiar with MySQL and has basic knowledge of how to deal with it efficiently- Wants to work in a small engineering team and participate in building the team and growing our product- Has a very good command of written and spoken English (B2+)- Is positive, communicative, responsible, can work both independently and in a teamWhy you should apply now You will work in a unique bootstrap startup atmosphere with many opportunities to share your ideas and introduce them into our product.
