Therefore, we are seeking a Data Architect, a vital role on this journey, with a proven background in Cloud Platforms tools and technologies. This is a hands-on role where the individual will be co-responsible for designing our data architecture to serve data products and business partners! This role will require someone with an expert level knowledge of modern cloud platforms and architectures (AWS and Azure preferred) combined with thought leadership and superb communication skills. Your capacity to work independently, but also on a multi-functional team of peers and cross functional partners, is a must. We seek a candidate who is flexible, self-motivated, curious, and willing to help us redefine the world of medical robotics with data. You will be responsible for : • Own the end to end data architecture which ingests data from different sources and transforms it into insights for internal and external users, designing and developing flexible, scalable and resilient data processing pipelines • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses. • Write clear, detailed, concise documentation-architecture diagrams, reference architecture, data flows, data models, design, and implementation plan. • Partner with other teams to help them use the data platform easily and seamlessly, understand their needs and design new features and capabilities to better serve them. • Improve our API infrastructure and our data science/ML footprint by using the latest innovations in these fields. • Provide strategic guidance with respect to MDM standard methodologies • Partner with security and risk Management teams to define data security and access controls and improve security posture. • Understand the challenges of the current state, influence engineering strategy, suggest suitable new capabilities, features, and functionality. Qualifications and requirements: Education: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Engineering or a related technical field. Advanced degree is a plus. Experience and Skills: Required: • 5 years' experience with data modeling, storage, analysis and management. A minimum of 2 years relevant data architect experience. • Experience in designing and implementing a variety of data platform & solution architecture concepts, methodologies and best practices (e.g. Incremental, SCD, Star Schema, Delta Lake). • Solid grasp and hands-on experience with data & analytics technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, Power BI, Tableau). • Proficient in a relevant programming language for cloud platform (e.g. Python/SQL). • Strong knowledge of best practices and cost optimization on cloud platform. • Good knowledge of microservices architecture and API infrastructure. • Demonstrable understanding of data governance, data quality, reusable frameworks, and decision support systems design principles. • Solid grasp of agile development, including DevOps concepts. • Superb communication and collaboration skills, able to network and influence at all levels of the organization. • Passion for learning, sharing and implementing new ideas in a fast-paced environment.
