Scope of the Role The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in finance or economics, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), and 2-4 years of experience in a professional accounting firm, consulting firm, or as an FP&A Manager. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in the hospitality/restaurant sector, certification (CPA, CMA, CFA, CFI FMVA), and knowledge of accounting software packages (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Oracle) are preferred but not mandatory. Working Hours: Working Hours: PST Time +/- 5am-3pm Salary Range: 2500-4000 USD Duties and responsibilities: Communicate with clients on video calls. Analyze current, planned, and past financial data and performance. Prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting processes. Prepare 3-statement financial models. Prepare DCF valuation models. Prepare investor teaser documents, CIMs, and pitch decks. Support business process development and documentation with Loom videos. Prepare ad hoc reports and projections based on analysis. Build out comparable data sets for public company stocks. Create and maintain research write-ups for industries and clients. Work with accounting departments at clients to review bank reconciliations and account reconciliations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in finance or economics from an accredited university. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint. Able to perform calculations, build formulas, and reports ad hoc in Excel. 2-4+ years of experience in a professional accounting firm, consulting firm in the role of an analyst or FP&A Manager. Ability to conceptualize the flow of transactions across the three financial statements. Preferred Skills and Experience Communicating on Zoom/Teams calls with clients or US teams. CPA, CMA, CFA (or substantive progress towards it). CFI FMVA Certification Preferred. Experience with a variety of revenue types and revenue recognition processes. Experience in the Restaurant/Hospitality Sector is a big plus. Power Query skills are a plus. Strong organizational skills. Ability to efficiently multitask and work within challenging deadlines. Ability to work independently, with little to no oversight, and as part of a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar ERP is a plus). Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to problem-solve accounting matters.
