The Wireless Engineering role involves completing advanced technical tasks and being an internal GNOC escalation point to ensure we meet our client's contractual responsibilities and SLAs. The role supports data networks that are critical to the operation of our clients businesses operate 24 x 7 and will involve working at times under duress and with on-site technicians requiring exceptionally clear instructions, guidance, and firm supervision. Here's an overview of your future role: Employment type: Indefinite term type contract Shift: Sunday to Thursday and from Tuesday to Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm or 8 am to 5 pm Work Setup: Onsite, Bogotá and Medellin What awaits you in this role? Daily Tasks: Operations: Review tickets allocated to team members to ensure their qualification for completion. Stay abreast of the team's workload and reprioritize tickets based on AT priority, due dates, and customer needs. Serve as the point of escalation for GNOC Network Engineers. Plan, prioritize, and oversee scheduled work within your time zone. Lead various initiatives and client projects. Client Management: Monitor electronic communication and ensure timely, professional responses meeting client requirements. Provide timely and proactive updates to clients on open items. Team Dynamic: Conduct informal check-ins with direct team members. Ensure accurate time recording in Autotask by all team members. Weekly Tasks Operations: Review all open tickets and ensure action is being taken with timely customer updates. Annual Tasks Team Dynamic: Support service delivery managers by providing feedback for network engineer performance reviews. Participate in remuneration and KPI reviews to ensure alignment with strategic growth plans. Ad-hoc Tasks Operations: Practice active listening with team members, clients, and suppliers to refine products and services. Assume responsibility for tasks of vacant direct team positions until replacement. Client Management: Attend relevant client and supplier meetings, both formal and informal. Team Dynamic: Lead the selection process and oversee onboarding of direct reports, including daily check-ins for at least the first month.
